Detox and (NO) Yoga: Day 13

For shame, but I decided a day out of the hot room was more important than doing 30 days of yoga in a row. That said, I intend to do a make-up to ensure 30 practices in 30 days by the end! We had a gorgeous 4th of July in Seattle, and started the day with my first coffee in 13 days, decaf Americano, no cream...but still, I miss the coffee culture! We then walked around GreenLake and I picked up a super cute dress (very versatile, as well) for my class reunion.

For lunch, we went to Thrive again - the mostly raw food restaurant. Again, while it's good and interesting, it feels like a lot of money for cold food that is good but not super satisfying (mentally). Today we had our first "nut" meal - nuts are discouraged, but if you do have them - it has to be raw, and cannot mix with starches or flesh, and fortunately, our meal fit the bill so it was legal! Salads with tahini dressing and a few pine nuts, Thai creamy coconut soup made with raw almond milk, and Chili (no beans) with cashew cream. We didn't finish it all and brought some home, the soup was pretty intense (spicy too) so 2 oz. would've done me good, and I got 14 oz. Good snack! Jill wanted desperately to heat up her chili, which we think had a lot of veggies and almonds with a "sauce" made from (we're guessing) sun-dried tomatoes, agave, and spices. Tasty and interesting.

Fourth of July! We decided to just avoid temptation and eat here. We opted for a grass-fed beef burgers on the grill with all the fixin's.

Yoga Day 13: Did not happen. :(

1/2 c. carmelized onions

None, my belly kinda hurt from the ground beef. I'm not even a fan of it! So, only tenderloin if it's gonna be beef...
